Flying is highly weather dependent. Therefore, we’ll reach out the day before your scheduled with an update on the probability of flying, regarding the weather forecast. At the same time we ask for a confirmation from you that you are ready to go!

Adaptive paragliding
During the festival «Ekstremsportsveko» we are organizing adaptive tandem paragliding, which is tandem paragliding with wheelchair. We have a boat that tow you and your pilot up in the air. This makes it possible to launch and land safely with a wheelchair. The only requirement is that you can wear a harness where all the straps can be securely fastened around both legs.

Weather and confirmation
Our activity is highly weather dependent. We need good wind direction, the right wind strenght, no rain and consistent conditions to take you flying. We will try our best to take you flying, but for safety reasons we can’t approve your booking if the weather looks bad. We have to cancel on short notice sometimes due to changing conditions.
Aurland or Voss?
We are only able to offer the Aurland flight if the weather conditions are better there than in Voss. This also requires that we have available transport that day.
The transport is 1,5 hours drive from Voss, and 15 minutes walking to the launch. This flight will only be possible to do with the right weather conditions, and if there is several bookings there the same day.
In Voss we have easy acess to two launches by the gondola. We also have alternative launches we can drive to if our main launch by the gondola doesn’t work out with the wind direction and strenght. Therefore, it is more likely that you get to fly if you book from Voss.
Clothes
Bring a wind jacket, shoes that are good to walk/run in. Additional is sunglasses and gloves if you would like. You will be in the air 10-20 minutes, depending on the conditions.
Weight limit
We have a general weight limit at 95 kg for most of our pilots. If you are just a bit more, we might have some pilots that could take you flying. This is due too that different pilots have different gear, and therefore they have individual limits.
Minimum age?
You can do tandem paragliding if you are under 18 years old. It is up to the parents and the child to decide if you are comfortable and motivated to try paragliding when you are less than 18 years old. Both parents need to sign the self-declaration form.
Gondola ticket
You get a pass for the gondola when you go together with your pilot. We might drive to another launch if it’s not flyable from the gondola at that exact time.
Payment
You can pay by vipps, card, credit or debit when the flight is done. We do not under any circumstances take cash, not NOK or any other currency.
Fly høgt over Voss
Voss Hang- og Paragliderklubb har erfarne tandeminstruktørar som kan ta deg med på Vestlandets vakraste eventyr – å fly høgt over Voss med paraglider! Du får kjenne spenninga og vindsuset på kroppen, samtidig som du nyt naturen!
Ein tandem paraglider er laga for at to personar kan fly saman. Du vil sitta behageleg i ein sele, medan instruktøren sit bak deg og styrer heile flyturen. Mellom personane er det eit system som begge heng i, og som paraglidaren er festa til. Du kan også få styre litt sjølv om du vil!
Turen startar med at instruktøren forklarar deg nøye kva som skal skje. Utstyret vert lagt ut og blir kontrollert av instruktøren. Etter dette vil me snakke om kva du skal gjere og korleis du vil oppleva det under turen. Det er veldig naturleg om du er nervøs, men erfaringa vår er at når ein er i lufta vert slike ting gløymt fort, og du vil nyte turen. Du kan ta bilete der oppe frå, så ta med kamera. Hugs varme gode sko og klede, det kan vere kjølig i høgda sjølv om det er varmt på bakken.
Tryggleiken er vår fyrste prioritet. Om vêr og vind ikkje er godt nok på den planagde dagen dagen, kan flyturen verte flytta eller kansellert på kort varsel.
Alle som skal gjennomføre ein introduksjonstur i paragliding må signere eigenerklæringsskjema på førehand. Dette har piloten med seg, og vert gjort på staden. Dersom du er under 18 år må ein føresett signere skjemaet for deg, og dersom ein har skilde foreldre må begge føresette signere.
